CMS Releases 2020
Physicians Fee Schedule

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has finalized their CY 2020 proposed revisions related to the Physicians Fee Schedule (PFS). For items related to telehealth, CMS has decided to finalize their proposal to add three new codes for a bundled episode of care for treatment of opioid use disorder to the list of services that are eligible for telehealth reimbursement.

Ohio Reimbursement Summary

Ohio was the last state in the UMTRC region to enact Medicaid Reimbursement (back in January of 2015).  They have now officially taken 1st place in terms of allowing Medicaid reimbursement for telemedicine services while the patient is at home!   Even more surprising is that the Ohio Department of Medicaid accomplished this through their own administrative process, without legislative action from the Ohio General Assembly.  And to top it off, Ohio has also instituted Private Insurance Parity in Coverage for telemedicine!  Way to go Buckeyes!

Reimbursement at a Glance

The topic the UMTRC staff gets asked about the most is reimbursement.  Are you interested in seeing how your state compares to the other UMTRC states?  This reimbursement guide is for you!
