In a rule announced last month, CMS is giving certain ACOs at risk of owing money back to Medicare because they haven't hit spending targets more freedom to use telehealth, including services delivered to the beneficiary's home.
In partnership with the National School of Applied Telehealth, UMTRC and the Southeastern Telehealth Resource Center offer four accredited telemedicine certificates for Clinical Presenters, Telemedicine Coordinators, and Telehealth Liaisons. All of the certifications are provided online in an interactive platform with video instruction and are developed to prepare team members for their role in the telehealth program. All participants are also eligible to obtain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) when completing the certifications.
The cost of each course is $299.00. Telehealth Certifications are available for:
- Certified Telemedicine Clinical Presenter
- Certified Telehealth Coordinator
- Certified Telehealth Liason
- Certified Telemedicine Clinical Presenter with Telestroke Specialty
