Modernizing and Clarifying the Physician Self-Referral Regulations

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published a final rule on December 2, 2020, aimed at addressing any existing undue regulatory impact and burden of Stark Law. Specifically, exceptions to the physician self-referral law have been created for certain value-based compensation agreements between or among physicians, providers, and suppliers.
