The Overturning of Roe v Wade Blog Post by Danielle Renckly, UMTRC Program Coordinator
On June 24th, 2022, Roe v. Wade was overturned by the United States Supreme Court. This decision removed federal protections for abortion, leaving the legality of abortion up to individual states. Telehealth services have become increasingly involved in providing abortion and other types of maternal care, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. TelehealthLocator Data Collection Now Live!
We are excited to share that the development of a new public facing tool, TelehealthLocator, is underway! TelehealthLocator will provide a single point of access to view and overlay gaps in access to care, broadband, and telehealth availability by service type. WIM Tracking, in collaboration with the TelehealthLocator TRCs, is working to determine what telehealth services are offered across a 24-state and 6 territory region, including the UMTRC region.
You can help! Follow this link to complete an online form to identify the services your facility offers in-person and via telehealth. You will be updated when the information you provide is available in the tool.
Please contact the UMTRC or WIM Tracking directly with questions: Jena Smith, WIM Tracking LLC Phone: (406) 640-1230 Email: [email protected] |
