Grants.gov

The Grants.gov program management office was established, in 2002, as a part of the President's Management Agenda. Managed by the Department of Health and Human Services, Grants.gov is an E-Government initiative operating under the governance of the Office of Management and Budget.

Under the President's Management Agenda, the office was chartered to deliver a system that provides a centralized location for grant seekers to find and apply for federal funding opportunities. Today, the Grants.gov system houses information on over 1,000 grant programs and vets grant applications for 26 federal grant-making agencies.

It also operates research, education, and training programs designed to advance knowledge of philanthropy at every level. Health Resources & Services Administration

HRSA fulfills its mission through grants and cooperative agreements. HRSA makes grants to organizations to improve and expand health care services for underserved people, focusing on program areas including health professionals, HIV/AIDs, maternal and child health, primacy care, rural health, organ donation and clinician recruitment and retention. Patient-centered Outcomes Research Institute  

The Patient-centered Outcomes Research Institute’s (PCORI) mandate is to improve the quality and relevance of evidence available to help patients, caregivers, clinicians, employers, insurers, and policy makers make informed health decisions. Specifically, they fund comparative clinical effectiveness research, or CER, as well as support work that will improve the methods used to conduct such studies.

Substance Abuse And Mental Health Services Administration

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America's communities.

SAMHSA makes grant funds available through the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, and the Center for Mental Health Services.
