Telehealth Resources at Your Fingertips

Telehealth Training Resources

Telehealth Resource Center Trainings

As a nationwide consortium, the TRC program has access to a number of telehealth experts who have created telehealth trainings for providers. See the following resources from our telehealth resource center partners:

Northeast Telehealth Resource Center – Telehealth Classroom

“This Telehealth Classroom training portal has been developed by the federally funded Northeast Telehealth Resource Center (NETRC), to assist regional stakeholders, including health systems, health centers, providers, and health professions students to successfully implement telehealth.”

Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center – Telehealth 101 Online Training

“Gain practical knowledge with this comprehensive overview.  For those new to telehealth or looking for a refresher, this course will provide information on how to create and/or grow telehealth programs. Tools, tips, and lessons learned will be incorporated into the content of the various components of setting up a telemedicine program.  A total of 1.75 CME credit hours is available upon course completion.”

California Telehealth Resource Center – Telehealth Course Finder

“The California Telehealth Resource Center (CTRC) offers no-cost, unbiased training and educational resources that help California providers and patients get the most from telehealth. For your convenience, we maintain an ever-expanding list of telehealth focused training courses. CTRC remains unbiased, and this list is unvetted. If you’re considering any of these trainings, please be sure to conduct your own research.”

 University and College Telehealth Trainings

As telehealth becomes more prevalent as a part of today’s healthcare landscape, there are more opportunities to receive training from academic institutions over telehealth best practices. See the following sources of telehealth training and instruction:

University of Cincinnati - Graduate Certificate in Telehealth

“To address the growing need for professionals ready to work in this field, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and College of Nursing partnered to develop an online Graduate Certificate in Telehealth, a four-course program that allows students to experience the several ways in which telehealth is utilized to provide care, as well as teaches the business and operational aspects of telehealth.

This program, which admits students to start in fall and spring terms, welcomes a wide variety of individuals—nurses, physicians, residents, allied health professionals, information technology specialists and health care administrators. See the Program Overview for a description of the courses that make up the program.”

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences - Certificate in Telehealth Practice

“In the wake of COVID-19, health care providers were required to get up to speed quickly on providing virtual care to their patients. With interest in telehealth services continuing to rapidly grow across the United States, it is evident that the offering is a value-add to any practice or institution wanting enhanced patient engagement, improved outcomes, increased patient access to care, and efficient and convenient care.

With successful completion of all four courses, you will earn a Certificate in Telehealth Practice from MCPHS.”
